no, i didnt get the cdj 1000s. i have a pair of technics 1210 mk2 decks now. i lend bird my cdx-15. it used to be so easy mixing without missing a beat. now with a pair decks, the concept is the same but i'm re-learning. everything seems so different, the pitch slider is more tight, and you have to spin the vinyl foward or tap it if u wanna pitch bend. so frust today,  trying to get used to it. tomorrow my new set of cdjs are gonna be delivered plus complementry headphones from the owner of valentine music at paradise centre. this nice lady Anne, fiercely catholic it seems, her counter behind was almost altar like, it had christian-like accessories plus 2 paintings, one of jesus, one of mother mary, my friend nick, a regular customer of hers is even allowed to smoke in the shop, Anne's indo maid, the one in charge of putting records in its catergorized shelves, seemed to know the music better then anyone i've met! i asked for progressive breakbeats, and there wasnt a shelf for one, but she got the hint, and brought me a coupla vinyls to test. anyways for such good customer service i definetly be heading back there to purchase records and dj equipment.
 
it was a pretty weekend ... watched mean girls on friday, probably one of the best teen flicks ever, you should check it out too!
 
went for slacker's dj set at centro on saturday, fuckkkkkken excellent shite he dropped on the dancefloor. pity most of the crowd was at zouk for phil kieran. without the usual cheers and shouts from the crowd, indeed slacker deserved a better audience. i stayed on to abt 2 then went for supper at siglap.
 
i was fuckken lazy i didnt trust myself fixing together the turn table on my own. had bird and jo help me. ok cool.
 
i passed my basic theory, but suddenly feel too lazy to do anything again. stop doing push ups daily. the reality of ORD is making bum and want to do nothing.
