i helped in fixing up mom's hi-fi set, i did usual thing by connecting the subwoofer to the amp and connected the speakers to the subwoofer using the positive and negative cables, the same way i would with any hi-fi set. when i played a cd, there was sound coming from the subwoofer but not from the 5 speakers, cant figure out why. anybody any idea? i re-check the connection to the amp and speakers, i re-read the manual a couple of times, and couldn't seem to find any loop holes in the set up. i followed all the guidelines and i doubt it could be a hardware error. after all that, mom is gonna get assistance from my neighbour who apparently has a state of the art hi-fi set.

i'm actually pretty bothered that i couldn't get the set to function as a whole, and i'm dying to find out where i could have erred somewhere.

school is starting soon and i'm already erm dreading it, no more late night, after hour routines for me, i'm feeling a lot of slothful freedom now.

Singapore Idol debut yesterday night, i think in terms of talent and voice i think the minority who got through to the next round are well on par with those we see on American Idol, but Singapore Idol also has its fair share of William Hungs and ego-centric, undeterred confident people who think they are the 'shit' once they walk into the audition room, and no hats off for the judges i think Dick Lee was just going into banter mode for the heck of it. His Antics didn't feel original, there seems to be an unintentional contest between him and the other Judge, Ken, to see who could pull off a Simon Cowell better. Dick Lee pulled a Simon on this girl, after she begged for a 2nd chance when the answer came from the judges was a no, he then asked her to go out and find 5 people from the public who agree that her singing was good, and when she brought the 5 into the auditioning room, dick lee gave her the green light, and so i think Dick was just being a dick. anyways being an aspiring singer here, the chances of stardom are low, but with singapore idol, it surely must give something to spur people on, or else i think it may actually be almost pointless to go into singing as a courier.
