i just returned from a party, mom's 55th birthday, boy was it way better then i expected. oh wait, i had no expectation at all. the fun part was the 17 year old soprano who sang for my mom, 3 tracks, i forgot her name, pamela something, her bday was tomorrow so there was a cake for her as well. if im not wrong she sang on the last NDP, no wonder the familiar face. anyways i was ice-breaking with 2 of mom's younger friends in their 20 somethings, a couple, one of em a bedroom Dj like myself... talk shit through out, with hoegarden in our hands. pretty cool experience. actually found the night to be quite rewarding. and yeah my sis was there, and she was doing P.R thing which came naturally to her. as for me i felt a bit uncomfy approaching my mom's friends. they are just different you know what i mean? why can't i speak singlish and communicate with the artsy farts!? there were 74 on the guest list all of which it seemed are very close friends of my mother, but they couldn't figure i was her son when i spoke to them, one even mistook me for a waiter, but i got her what she wanted anyway, a piece of the birthday cake and told her to think nothing of it.
